Become a Member

The Alliance is a hybrid-trade association in that it is not eligible to enter into any contracts for direct services. Its purposes include identifying and addressing matters of common concern, unmet community needs, and relationships with other bodies which have as the goal assisting member agencies to serve their constituents in the most efficient and effective manner possible; sharing expertise among agencies; and, when applicable, entering into negotiations on behalf of the membership with Cuyahoga County public entities.

Any not-for-profit licensed and/or certified child caring agency/program doing business with Cuyahoga County public agencies that adheres to the purposes of the Alliance may make application to become a member of this Alliance. Membership is completed by payment of annual dues, fulfillment of the conditions in the by-laws and with the approval by majority vote of the full membership of the Alliance.

1. The agency must be licensed/certified by one of the following public agencies: Ohio Department of Mental Health; Ohio Department of Job and Family Services; Ohio Department of Alcohol and Drug Addiction Services; or Ohio Board of Mental Retardation and Developmental Disabilities

2. Member agencies must provide one or more of the following services:

  • Adoption
  • Congregate Care
  • Day Treatment/Partial Hospitalization
  • Family Preservation
  • Foster Care
  • Independent Living
  • Children’s Mental Health Services
  • Shelter Care
